Amanda Knox, the Seattle college student who was imprisoned for 4 years after being convicted of the murder of her British roommate Meredith Kercher, has been found guilty in her most recent retrial. She has been living in the United States after her aquittal on appeal in late 2011. Official say that any writs of extradition would be unlikely before a year from now when the official decision is written.
I am personally very disappointed. As many of you know I am in criminal justice and I took the time to do some research on this case during her first trial. While no one knows whether she did it except her, I believe that there was no way the prosecution met any acceptable burden of proof to convict her in a fair trial. What are your thoughts?
