A few days ago, I wrote about the guys at my new place of employment. In case you missed it, they're all in their 20's and their main topics of conversation are sex, drugs, and alcohol. The last two topics are fine by me, but the first was really starting to weigh on my self-esteem.

One "gentleman" in particular has said some really foul things about women over 30 (a group to which I belong) and I went in for the kill. Since then, he and I have had a rather strained relationship. And yesterday, he started making comments with the explicit purpose of trying to make me upset. But thankfully, I had an ally with me in the form of a totally kick-ass chick who held her own and defended our sex. Once the tool, MRA-in-training left, she I spoke about the sexist environment and I mentioned how it was making me feel really self-conscious about my appearance and age.

And then, out of no where, a lovely man with a lovely man bun walks by our table (we're sitting outside having drinks) and says, "you're fucking sexy as hell."

She and I started laughing because we had noticed him earlier, both remarking on his good looks and great hair.

Normally, a random dude saying something like that means very little. But knowing that he overheard our conversation and said something that I needed to hear was a great esteem booster. I mean really, who wouldn't want to hear a hot guy tell them they're sexy in a non creepy way?

So to the guy at my job who hates women that are smart enough to call him out on his bullshit: Screw you. I'm getting better with age. And when your male pattern baldness robs you of your beauty and your personality becomes more bitter, the hot chicks you're able to bag will become fewer and fewer. I, on the other hand, will always be smart, kind, and awesome. And hopefully, like my mom, will still be sexy at any age. Cause black don't crack, but your ego sure will!
