Finally using the dried sorrel a friend’s mom gave me and trying something other than mead.

Threw a bag of the dried flowers, some allspice, cloves, and cinnamon into a strainer bag and let it steep in 2 gallons of boiling water (with a cup of brown sugar dissolved in it) for four hours. I may add more sugar if it’s not sweet enough.

Glad I started first thing this morning.I’m going to brew one gallon on its own, and incorporate the other into the mead I’m making this evening.

Now with sorrel wine and sorrel mead!
