I just watched the first ep and I think I’m hooked. Basically, it’s about FBI agents in the 70s working to try to get the FBI to incorporate psychology into their work - so, the beginning of “criminal profilers” like Mulder was on the X-Files. Some reviews have said the lead character is a little bland, which I agree with, but it’s kind of refreshing to have a lead character that’s really smart but also tremendously awkward and naive, instead of the usual “smartest guy in the room who’s also an asshole” trope we’ve gotten so much of lately.

Anyway. The show is heavy, and it’s graphic (it is about serial killers after all) but if you’re interested in criminal psychology it’s pretty cool.
