So with the beginning of this month, the summer season of anime has begun! Anyone planning on watching any this season? Here are the ones I'm planning on watching so far:

This image was lost some time after publication.
  • Danganronpa: The Animation - This one was just released today and so far I'm...underwhelmed. I'm not sold on the premise so far; 15 high school kids are trapped in a high school and the principal, who's a bear (???), tells them that they'll have to live there for the rest of their lives unless they murder someone to leave. I'm all for fantastical plots, but the people don't seem real to me yet. We'll have to see.
  • Fate/kaleid liner Prisma☆Illya - I'm a sucker for the Fate/ universe, and Illya is one of my favorite characters, so I'm hoping to get some lighthearted fun out of this. Most of my shows lately have been heavy or dark, so maybe this'll balance it out a bit.
  • Genshiken Nidaime - I adored the first season and the manga, and it reminds me a lot of my college anime club, so I'll definitely be watching this.
  • Kami Nomi no Shiru Sekai S3 - The first two seasons were more than excellent, so no way I'll miss the third one.
  • Watashi ga Motenai no Dou Kanagaete mo Omaera go Warui! - This promises to be fun and entirely cringe-worthy based on what I read about the manga. Also, there are multiple animes about shut-in male characters, so I think it'll be nice to see it from the other perspective. Maybe I can get some otome game suggestions as well. :3
  • Chou Jigen Game Neptune The Animation - I've never played the game this is based off of (Hyperdimension Neptunia), but I've always been kind of interested so going to check out at least the first couple episodes this time around.

There are a few that I have a passing interest in, but with so many on my plate to begin with I'm going to hold off until maybe about halfway through the season, when I can see whether or not any of the other shows are getting good reviews.
