Disclaimer: The following is a bit self-indulgent. I just wanted to get my internal rant out. Feel free to ignore.

So I work at this place once a week, and we have a set, if malleable schedule. Someone I don't like used to work there, then left, but is apparently thinking of coming back. They have asked me if I would like to switch my schedule around so she could take my shift, and I would get another one.

Two things:

1. I don't want to accommodate this person. She is terrible and I am done with her. I don't think anyone else at the place knows this, though, so saying that would just make me look really mean and petty.

2. I just don't want to switch my schedule. Partly because it's a good schedule for me homework-wise, and partly because the switch would stick me with someone else who I would rather not work with. They aren't awful or anything, just whiny and idiotic and there is a good chance that I might strangle them by the end of the year.

So then I don't know how to respond, because the polite/correct thing is to agree to the switch, but I really don't want to do that. And I feel like my reasons for not wanting to are really petty, so they don't really justify saying no. IDK. It's not a big deal, I can put on my big girl pants, but it's going to make me bitter for the rest of the week.
