(Because we clearly aren't talking about it enough.)

I really enjoyed it. And I feel like, in a lot of ways, it's the 2001: A Space Odyssey for this time. Not sure what that says about us, but there you are. And it made me want to watch that movie again, because it's been decades, probably, since I saw it, and I caught a few of the references, but I'm sure not all, not by a long shot.

A few off the top of my head: TARS's gag about blowing Cooper out the airlock; numerous flashy reflections off of space helmets, especially in the tesseract; the shape of TARS; SILENT space shots (THANK YOU MR. NOLAN!!!!!) although I am actually surprised that they didn't have Blue Danube in there at some point, but I may be able to catch some hints of it if I listen to the soundtrack without being distracted by movie.

So, here's my nonsensical headcanon:

TARS is actually the monolith. And the bit at the end of 2001 with the Space Baby? That's the tesseract in a different iteration.
