I'm feeling discouraged about my driving lessons and it's getting me a bit down.
I've been doing the lessons for about a month now, and they're going okay. But the one thing I just can't get down for some reason is turning. My left turns are alright (could be better, but not horrible) but my right turns are a mess. I haven't gotten close to hitting anyone or anything like that, but the turns are choppy as hell. I either start turning too soon or too late, and I'm not particularly good at gauging how much gas or break to give when turning, especially if it's a moving turn. So the end result is a right turn that's the choppiest thing in the world.
I don't know why I can't get it down. Part of me wants to just say "fuck it" and throw in the towel, as that's the type of thing I've done a million times over, but I know that's silly. I'm just trying to keep myself motivated, but it feels like it's such a simple thing that for whatever reason I can't do. It's not even that I'm getting flustered when turning, because I love driving and am extremely comfortable behind the wheel. I'm just having so much trouble with this one thing.
I'm just feeling a bit down about it. I'm going to keep practicing, I just don't want to get too discouraged to the point that I either get frustrated or give up.
