This winter I did very little creating due to depression. I'm starting to come out of it, and I've done a ton of just throwing paint on the board or in a notebook and seeing what happens. Some of it is good, most of it is crappy, but that's neither here nor there. I get better results when I have fun ideas to work on. For instance on Sunday I painted a cat attacking an octopus in a stormy sea. In the fall I put a friend (at his request) on the back of a moose fighting vampire Hitler. Another friend wanted to destroy Wall Street while riding Kaiju Stalin.
Do you have a creative picture that you've always wanted to see? Or just a suggestion for a celebrity that I should paint? I'm trying to work on making my portraits look more like their subjects.
