Question for the X-Men fans among us:

What is the general consensus regarding the plot change for the Days of Future Past movie? By that I'm talking about replacing Kitty Pryde with Wolverine as the main time traveller. The way I understand it, Kitty will be pivotal to the plot even though she isn't time traveling. But they are still replacing a woman with a man, and I was under the impression her Jewish heritage was an important aspect in relation to the whole preventing a mutant Holocaust plot. So is this something that is considered just a business move to get more viewers, or is it straight up sexist?

I'm pretty excited about it and all, but I feel not really okay with this change. But I have only been into X-Men for like a week so maybe I'm blowing it out of proportion.
