I read through book 7 and was utterly bored. The vampires or whatever they called themselves were almost all the same: bored, boorish, overly serious except for the one in Dark Gold, overly intense. They always needed a woman to love and to be loved to see the world in color. Also intense, earthquake (literally) sex. Women until book seven (I assume it continues) have no choice its like its expected with the sex being the closing deal because you know earthquakes. There is a new Carpathian novel by Christine Feehan book number 25. Dark Promises, every novel starts with Dark.

Here is a good and funny review of the series.

I also thought this genre was also dying. I had given up totally on the beyond dumb Undead And Unwed series.
