I've got tickets to see the midnight show! If you didn't know such things were happening stateside and want to go, you can check to see if there are showings in your area here. EDIT: They also have showings at more reasonable hours Monday, August 25th at 7pm and 9pm.

I got my Weeping Angel shirt in the mail and it is awesome. I've been playing with it in the bathroom mirror-turning the light on and off. Also trying to decide if I should add a scarf to the ensemble for midnight showing fun.

I super jazzed for an older Doctor. I haven't really watched the Classic series to be perfectly honest so I'm used to younger, flightier, sillier Doctors.

I'm curious to see Capaldi's dynamic with Coleman. Thankfully there won't be any romance, as confirmed by Capaldi in an interview with The Guardian :

"There'll be no flirting, that's for sure...it's not what this Doctor's concerned with. It's quite a fun relationship, but no, I did call and say, 'I want no [flirty] moments'. I think there was a bit of tension with that at first, but I was absolutely adamant."

So thank fuck for that. I'm a bit peeved that he's mentioning that there was "a bit of tension with that at first" as though Moffat was pushing some kind of May-December romance with Jenna Coleman. Yuck.

Now I'm curious about how they'll play it. Clara is no Donna and the other companions as of late have all been flirty with the Doctor.

The outfit is not my favorite. The pants are a bit pouchy in the crotch region; mildly jodhpur-esque. And I'm not sure about the buttoning only the top button of the jacket thing. Is that a thing men do? It's very LOOK AT MY WAISTCOAT.
