My GG-watching schedule has been a little erratic (yay finals! Take a final, watch 3 hours of Gilmore Girls, turn in term paper, watch the first half of season 7 in less than 24 hours, take a week and a half off of Gilmore Girls because of business/sadness that it's almost over). So my observations will also be a little bit scrambled, but I'll do my best to remember all the madness:
1. I think this is an unpopular opinion, but I don't hate Christopher. Clearly, marrying him isn't one of Lorelai's brightest ideas. They're not a couple that's built to last, but there's still something kind of sweet about them. Maybe I'm just missing my childhood friends and it's making me nostalgic, but there's something nice about somebody you've known forever. And he's not the brightest bulb, but he's mostly well-intentioned. He's no Luke, but I didn't hate seeing him and Lorelai together.
2. How hilarious is it in hindsight that Christopher and Lorelai are shocked that Sherry, queen of the yuppies, got into yoga? Sherry was just ahead of the curve!
3. Rory, stop acting like it's a major insult that Paris asked you to sign a lease before moving in with her. I know that you are completely unfamiliar with normal college living arrangements, but signing a lease is a perfectly normal thing!
4. All I have to say, re: Rory and Lorelai making fun of people who enjoy econ classes: pbfffffffft. Rory, if you're going to be a good reporter, it wouldn't hurt to know some economics, it's kind of a big deal.
ETA: how rude was Rory to Logan's female coworker? As somebody in a very male-dominated field, I have way more sympathy for the coworker who's trying to be friendly with her coworker's girlfriend than the jealous girlfriend who is looking to be threatened by any amount of friendliness.
ETA 2: Paris may have seemed crazy in 2007, but I'm pretty sure that 400 resumes is the minimum amount needed to get a job post-graduation today.
