This interactive map by the Council on Foreign Relations is both fascinating and ominous. It shows the worldwide outbreaks of diseases such as polio, measles, and pertussis—all of which are preventable through vaccination—between 2008-2014. You can zoom in for closer detail on particular regional outbreaks. You can also submit your own points of outbreaks if you know of any in your area. Also, you can read more about this project and a blurb about how the anti-vaccination movement started on I Fucking Love Science's website, where I first heard about this map.
