What good habits have you been building lately? Have you been doing this gradually or did you leap out of bed one day and have this as a set goal?

I’ve been making more things with fresh produce lately, and in an effort to a) reduce waste, b) save money, and c) keep fruit flies out of my trash, I’ve been cleaning off and chopping up my scraps to make vegetable stock with. It takes 4 cups to make 2 quarts, which adds up really quick! I figure if I have a lot of stock, I could always cook it down to reduce to a paste.

I’ve also been considering turning all of my wilting herbs and sad fruit into compound butters. I have been trying to freeze my produce before they even get to that point, but some things just go too fast.
