Parts of the city of Moncton, New Brunswick have been locked down since Wednesday night after a gunman in military fatigues carrying multiple weapons shot five Royal Canadian Mounted Police Officers, killing three of them.
The shooter, identified as Justin Bourque, was seen leaving his trailer home, wearing combat fatigues and carrying a variety of weapons, which have been identified as as semi-automatic rifle, a pump action shotgun, a crossbow, and knives, and then wandering through a neighbourhood. Concerned residents called police, and when the RCMP arrived on seen Bourque allegedly ambushed them, before fleeing into a wooded area. At the time of writing, he was still evading capture.
