I'm just gonna start this off by saying I am SUPER PISSED about what happened to Beverly! Ugh, and now we have to suffer through those other two forensic guys without her being there to be awesome? Not fair! Isn't the whole Hannibal mythos based on books? Isn't she in the books?? And then the ending of yesterday's episode?? Yes, that's just what we needed, another milk toast white girl to liven up the plot!

Unrelated but Laurence Fishburne's soul patch facial hair was really bothering me. Has he always had that? Did he spill chocolate sauce on his face or something? Not a good look on an otherwise handsome man. Either go full beard or no beard.

I know Will is the protagonist, but I am so over my crush on this character. When your first couple attempts to prove Hannibal is a murderer result in the deaths of others and makes you look more and more like a serial killer, maybe you should find other possible solutions to your problem. Will is boring this season, probably because all he does is sit around in various cages and tell people to go look for stuff that inevitably gets them killed.

And consequently, Chilton is becoming my new favorite character, unless somehow Beverly Katz comes back as a zombie (fingers crossed!). The various jokes about his dismemberment and his remarks at Hannibal's party were great, and I can see how they are setting him up as Hannibal's future rival. I see the same thing with Crawford, but Jack Crawford is not as witty as Chilton.

And the murders this season;

I have a pretty strong tolerance for nsfl stuff, otherwise I wouldn't be two seasons into a show about cannibalism and murder, but damn, they are trying to outdo themselves this season and it is becoming ridiculous. And also a lot of the murder-of-the-week murders don't make as much sense as last season. Last season the killers seamed to have a purpose or goal on top of being unhinged murderers, now it just feels like "bee lady was pissed off because.... bees!" and it bothers me.

And I thought Hannibal was an organs-only kinda guy, I don't know what human flesh tastes like, but I imagine it can't be great, we eat processed crap and our meat would be very fatty, doesn't sound appetizing.

Goodbye Eddie Izzard I guess... it's still weird to see him not in drag...

I bet all of this could have been solved in two episodes if Agent Scully were on the case

In my head I call this show The Many Splendiforous Suits of Mads Mikkelsen:

The suits are what keep me coming back each week. His suit game is on point.
