So, it's from sort of good news... I got assigned a new project today, a bigger, more complex one, which is super awesome because (a) I like bigger complex projects, I actually feel more comfortable with them and (b) this bodes well for my long term prospects for my job. I am still a temporary employee but am hoping (as are my supervisors, I think) that I am hired on at the next cycle (coming soon, we hope).

HOWEVER - I am freaking the frak out because the other person assigned to this project is MANCANDY!!! Granted, we are working on two different aspects but our work is meant to dovetail. In so many ways, this is what I was hoping would happen but now that it is, the question is: How Do I Not Make an Ass Out of Myself? I have trouble thinking clearly when he is near, much less stringing enough words together to make a sensible sentence, much less reviewing a technically complex project and discussing it with the coworker I've been crushing over the past few months. AARGH. And of course, I want to impress my supervisors PLUS I want to impress this supersuper smart guy. The Pressure is ON....

I think I am going to have to take up meditation in a serious way...*Sigh*
