So, since we have 6 inches of snow on the ground and counting, it looks like the hubs and I will both be home from work tomorrow. I don't have much in the fridge or pantry because I haven't been cooking much lately, so we'll be eating whatever I can magic up.
I thought for lunch tomorrow, I'd make a big batch of pasta and we could eat that for dinner, too, if necessary. I have lots of dry pasta, sausage (Southern style, not Italian), parmesan, dry spices, olive oil, and canned tomatoes (diced and stewed and such).
Every time I've tried to make red sauce from scratch, it's been...not great. Any good recipes? Tips? I mean, I know the mechanics of it, but can't quite manage to get the formula to balance.
Our stomachs will thank you.
