Currently there are 33 Republican governors (compared to 16 Democrats and 1 independent). 247 US congresspeople out of 435 are Republicans. 54 Senators out of 100 are Republicans.

Suppose you could magically conjure two million voters out of the population of non-voters. These new voters will be randomly distributed among swing states like New Hampshire, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Michigan, Wisconsin, etc.

These voters will all:
- vote straight-ticket Democrat in the 2018 and 2022 midterms

- vote Republican for president in 2020 (I’m assuming this is Trump if he hasn’t been impeached by then)

- vote Democrat on all the down-ballot races in 2020

I can’t think of any reason a voter would do this in real life. But in this hypothetical, if you could unleash this bloc of swing voters, would you do it?
