Question -

There is someone in my life that I have tried to hang out with. This person has made it clear a couple of times that they wanted to hang out, and as such I have invited them to either group gatherings, a party at my house, and then finally to lunch/dinner.

Each time the person flakes (politely, but still flakes) which honestly i’m fine with. I find this person nice, interesting, smart and totally cool, and I would welcome a friendship. However I don’t need it. Have I reached “you wanted to hang out, but you never hang out so I can stop inviting you?” yet?

No bad blood, I just think my time is better spent on actual friends who want time to hang.
