Recently a deaf person has started frequenting our art classes. I want to make sure I know how to act when I interact with her. Is there anything that people typically do that is misguided or annoying to deaf people, that I should take care to avoid? I know not to just yell louder (duh) but I have actually never interacted with a deaf person before her the other day and I just want to make sure I am being exactly right.

She has let us know her needs - being close to the instructors so she can see them speak, etc. Our instructors are great about eye contact and annunciating with their lips.
