I CAN’T BELIEVE I DID IT. Guys. I’m graduating with a job. In my competitive and hard to break into field, in my home city that I love, that actually pays me (a small amount of) money.

I’m nervous. It’s going to be a potentially fairly demanding job, and they made a big deal about how they’re taking a risk on me since I haven’t worked a year long full time position before (although last summer I had a full time internship and another internship), but my references were awesome so they have high expectations. That’s a lot of pressure.

I just...these incredibly awesome things don’t really happen to people. I’m so excited and grateful, but what if I don’t actually deserve it and fuck everything up? Is there any advice you wish you got when you started your first full time job?

ETA: It feels like only yesterday I was telling Groupthink I got into college. How very peculiar.
