All In With Chris Hayes is reporting that Sen. Gillibrand's proposed amendment (to a military policy bill, I believe) to strengthen rights for military victims has 53 Senators on board...including, amazingly, Tea Party wackjobs Rand Paul and Ted Cruz. The bill would provide a special counsel for victims and eliminate the statue of limitations...as well as remove the task of prosecuting said cases from the immediate chain of command and strip commanding officers of their ability to overturn jury verdicts, among other things.

The actual vote may happen tomorrow, and both parties are very divided over this. Will those 53 Senators put their money where their mouths are when the vote is taken? Stay tuned.
