Hello, lovely groupthinkers!

I just wanted to share this little event I witnessed yesterday, with all your sympathetic minds. A mother actually refused to buy a kite for her daughter because "it wasn't girly enough" and went on to say that if she were a boy, it would have sufficed. Now, it wasn't the coloring or the design of the kite that wasn't girly enough; it was the kite itself, and the notion of flying this kite that made it objectionable.

It made me really sad. Let the girl fly her kite!
