So my friend that was definitely* going to take Jax has now backed out. She’s one of my best friends and I knew this would happen because she can be a flake. Her husband has allergies to everything, so they’re thinking pet dander might irritate it as well. That’s OK.

So now it leaves me in a place where I don’t have any potential places for Jax (the dog) and we haven’t even started looking for a home for the cats. If we took care of 1 animal group, that would make it possible to travel with the other. I want to take all of them, don’t get me wrong. I’ve cried every time we’ve tried to talk about it. We aren’t allowed to talk about the animals in public anymore because of it. But I know the reality of the situation. It’s expensive to take pets overseas. It’s stressful on them, especially when the dog doesn’t like crates. We have more pets than number of people traveling, so that makes it even harder to navigate through everything when we arrive at the airport.

Unfortunately, because flights are not as prevalent into my destination, I have to book ahead of time and I need to know what animals I’ll have before I turn in my housing form (which I need to get in soon). So I’m stuck.

I don’t want to rehome them with just anyone. I’m an animal lover and they are slightly spoiled. I love them to pieces.

Is anyone looking to take in 2 absolutely lovely year-ish old babies? Anyone looking to start their cat family? or add to one? They come with a lot of accessories!

EDIT: I’m current in northern Virginia with them. If I can find someone that absolutely loves cats, can give them a wonderful home and they can pry them out of my hands while I’m sobbing (I’m kidding....) I’d like to find someone ready to commit and take them within the next 2-3 weeks.

They’re 2 females, both spayed, up to date on shots and very good kitties. I can give more of a description later, but the orange one is dainty and a purring engine and the tabby is a bit more of a wild child, but once she gets comfortable, she demands cuddles. I have been able to clip their nails with them in my laps, no assistance, more than once.

:(

*She told me definitely, I knew that wouldn’t be the case.
