So I have been looking around for a new job. I have one now, but I want something more secure. So anyway, I applied somewhere for a promotion of sorts to utilize all of my skills. Last week I got a phone call and they offered me basically a lateral transfer with this new company and way low pay. Obviously, I rejected it and told them why. This week, they called again. they called to basically beg me to take this position and made me feel really bad when I didn't take the interview because I don't want to work weekends and I am not willing to take a pay cut. Am I insane or wrong for rejecting this? Do companies hire people from the outside NOT to do their shitty entry level positions? I have a degree and a lot of experience in this industry in entry level and I want to move up. Ugh.
