Original post about my daughter being harrassed at school.

ETA: We spoke with the principal this morning. Little GV was nervous and told her story like a champ. The principal's first response: "I know his mother." Then a comment about how this is a bit of a sticky wicket because it didn't happen during school, but she indicated pretty clearly that she's on it. She also resonated with my point about how these words target girls in a sexualized way. That was very encouraging. She also told kiddo to tell her about *anything* that boy does, "even a dirty look."

Since the incident didn't happen at school, I don't know if suspension is possible. A suspension would probably just be a three-day vacation, anyway. I'm not done with this, but I'll wait.

Thanks to all of you for your support. I'm really sorry that so many of you had to go through this and worse. I had a little of it when I was a kid. My mom worked with his dad and she knew both of them were dicks. I also wrote my master's thesis on workplace bullying, something I've also experienced. I understand the wreckage bullying leaves, both from childhood and in adulthood.

My daughter is an amazing person. I've never been one to wish that she could stay little because watching her become a person has been the greatest joy of my life.
