I'm going to try posting with my iPhone. It looks like I'll have to go to Sea Plaza, the only place I know of with an apple store, to get a charger.Thank god we have computers in almost ever plausible device, or I'd have to be in the real world for a few days.
In other news, my host family has a daughter who is thirteen and lovely and I'm sure as hell realizing how toxic some of the stuff marketed for teens are, especially the product made in the Disney factory. It seems that every story is about interchangeable girls and interchangeable boys being ~*special*~ and/or QUIRKY .And you know it's all about them because their friends aren't as attractive and/or are just caracatures of human beings.
If you'll oblige me, I'm going to rant a bit like An Old. I remember when there used to be actual outcasts on TV. They were abnormal people who just didn't quite fit in. Now, it seems that everyone fits in these worlds. Everybody's special and comparatively well-adjusted. I suppose it's just a sign of the times.
Grandma rant aside, I'm not going to hold it against the children who watch this stuff. Every teenager is obliged to make a bad desision at some point my only complaint is a lack of variety in bad choices.
