Of course I am 5 months from my upgrade. OF COURSE.

After dropping this phone hundreds of times on various surfaces, it finally decided it has had enough. It fell, face-down, onto my brick patio last night and the screen didn't just crack, it freaking SHATTERED.

The phone is completely unusable.

I can swing by Verizon today and see if maaaaaaaybe I can get them to do me a solid and give me an early upgrade (or, for fuck's sake, the exact same phone), but my hopes are not high. So I dug out my crusty old Droid X and it's charging so maybe they can just switch my service to that and I'll deal with it until December.

Has anyone used that iRepair thingy that I'm seeing all over the place now? Did you have any success with them? Because if I can switch my service back to my old phone and take this one to the repair joint for $50 or whatever, I will do that.

And that's MY Saturday, how about you?

ETA: I am some kind of remedial genius, you guys. I powered up the old Droid and thought to myself, "SELF! Let's try logging in to Verizon to see if we can do the ol' switcheroo without having to go into the store!"

And I replied, "SELF!! YOU ARE A MOTHAFUCKIN' GENIUS, YOU ARE. AND SEXY AS HELL."

AND AND AND I discovered that I maybe/probably have insurance on my phone AFTER ALL, so I might be able to go in there and be all "OMG FIX IT" and see what happens. WOOOOOOOOOOOO SATURDAY JUST GOT AWESOME, Y'ALL!!
