kcunning’s post reminded me that National Blog Post Month starts on Sunday. (Technically you can do it any month, but November is the big one.) Anyone else in this time around?

I did it last year and really enjoyed the experience. I didn’t quite post every day (I was working until 11:30 on Fridays, okay) but it still forced me to think about writing on a daily basis, and I’m really happy with some of the pieces I wrote last November. And obviously some of them were crap, but the nice thing about a small blog no one reads is that you can go back and delete them and pretend they never happened. Cough.

I used to do NaNoWriMo (back in high school), but I’ve found that a) I don’t really have the motivation to write 50,000 words anymore, and b) I’m much better at telling stories that already exist than I am at creating them from scratch. So NaBloPoMo works a lot better for me. And since I haven’t posted anything on my blog since *mumbles unintelligibly* I figure this will be a great change to get back into the swing of things.
