I was eating lunch with the CEO of the organization I work at (who is also my direct supervisor), another supervisor, and a co-worker, and we were talking about salad (ew, gross) and the CEO started talking about a beet salad she made with her mom and how she ended up being the one who cleaned the beets. I, meaning to say "Oh, the job where you get red hands"(which wasn't even funny, I don't know why I thought to say it), instead said, "Oh, the red hand job", but it came out, "Oh, the red HANDJOB"

After a short stunned silence all four of us started laughing, especially when my co-worker said, "If your hands are red you've done something wrong". It should have ended there, but I couldn't stop laughing/crying and it quickly became awkward and horrible.
