I just read this sweet story about people in Norway that are trying to give Finland a mountain for it’s 100th birthday. Basically, the mountain is in Finland, but its peak is 31 meters over the border in Norway. People in Norway, namely geophysicist Bjørn Geirr Harsson want to give Finland the peak.

Unfortunately, changing international borders isn’t so easy, and probably not allowed by the countries constitution that defines the country as an “indivisible and inalienable realm”, and so the prime minister has chosen not to pursue it. But, it’s still a sweet, and slightly silly, story.
