One of my clients is an inmate in a high-security facility. I have managed to get an internal investigation started, on his behalf, of some rather shady stuff (I learned of that success today). I had written him about this recently and told him that was Step 1, but that any suit he brought against the department that runs the prisons would likely not be worth very much money (I outlined the reasons).

So today he wrote back “Are you fucking kidding me??” Etc. Essentially telling me that he wanted a different lawyer, one who would get him some major money for his pain and suffering.

You win some, you lose some. But it felt like a punch in the gut, all the same.

On the other hand, I got a killer deal this evening on yet another guitar—thank heavens for ivy graduates who are moving to tiny NY apartments!
