Yep, she posed for GQ magazine in her bra and knickers (http://www.popoholic.com/2013/08/21/ann…) and I'm curious about how you guys feel about this. I'm with Hadley Freeman; she wrote in the Guardian today, coincidentally:

"I have been wearying of "empowerment" for some time, and the times when I'm especially weary of it are when I discuss how weird it is that so many A-list female celebrities feel compelled to take their clothes off on the covers of magazines only for someone to retort that, actually, these women are "empowering themselves". Quite when the word "empowerment" became a euphemism for "offering oneself up as a wank object" is not recorded in the Oxford English Dictionary." http://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/…

I posted about it on FB earlier today, saying that although I understand the pressure she's under from agents and managers (presumably), and I think it's shitty she feels like she has to do this in order to further her career, I'm still disappointed in her. I'm getting a lot of comments from women agreeing with me, and a couple of comments from men telling me she looks great (Yeah, I know - the point, he missed it) and I should give her a break. One said he thought I was "on the other side in the culture and sex war", whatever the fuck that means.

Thoughts?
