We had three female pastors come and talk to us today in class. They did sort of a panel discussion on women in leadership roles in churches, and how they address misogyny within faith communities. One of the speakers was a black transgender woman who preaches at an inclusive baptist church. She had a lot to share with us about privilege, and how race/class/ethnicity/gender intersect in matters of faith and religious identity. It was a fascinating talk, and all of the ladies had really interesting stories about what led them to ministry as well as cool perspectives on what it means to be a woman and hold a powerful position in a church.

Just thought I'd share that tidbit with you guys. I'll try and post some details later when I'm not posting from my phone
