I came into work this morning after being gone for a week. I noticed there was a letter on my desk and it was opened. The letter had my name on it, written in fancy handwriting. Luckily it was just a battery and a business card that I needed for work.

"Who opened my mail?"

"I did."

"You know that's a federal offence."

"I was looking for packing slips. It's not like it was private. I open all the mail."

(Note. I never get packing slips sent to me.)

"So what you are saying is that I shouldn't get things sent to the office?"

".... okay, maybe that the right thing to do."

I honestly can't believe I had to explain to my older brother that it's not cool to open mail, and the idea didn't occur to him. Admittedly, he's always nosy, and I use to leave notes on my desk saying.

"You know it's rude to read things on someone's desk."

Which he said to me 2 days after I left that note.

"You know I totally respect your privacy."

I thought to myself "What an odd thing to say, you must have read the note on my desk."
