Sometimes you hear a word/phrase every once in awhile and you think, “I’m going to look that up.” Then you forget again. For years I’ve heard people mention the “Algonquin Round Table” / “The Vicious Circle” and thought I should google that. Sadly, by “people mentioning it”, I mean I’ve seen the episode of Friends were Penn tries to sell Joey a set of encyclopedias a couple thousand of times.

Anyway, I was reading about the Algonquin Round Table which met from 1919-1929 and was super psyched to learn about the fact that the group that met daily for lunch included some badass women. Some awesome women who paved our way were a huge part of a group that had been traditionally more renowned for it’s famous male leaders. I want to write more about this later...
