So I went to a midnight showing of the Desolation of Smaug last night. Has anyone else seen it yet? Thoughts? (spoilers)

As someone who isn't that big into LotR, I was surprised at how much I liked it and how invested I was in the characters. Usually I'm like "meh, I know they live in the end so no suspense", but I was definitely in suspense this movie. Boyrax was really unhappy that Legolas was in it and Tauriel was created out of thin air but elf fighting is SO COOL.

Also, I disagree with how they pronounce Smaug. Sm-oww-g. Ew, it's gross. Also I watched it in 3D which was nice I guess except the glasses didn't work well with my normal glasses and something about 3D made it seem...almost amateur. Like I would look at a scene and think "this could totally be some 16 year old's fanfiction video of Lord of the Rings" instead of the realistic, epic thing I see when I watch those movies in 2D. Idk, it was strange.

Boyrax had nothing but complaints but said the movie was very good.
