I want to share a wonderful article with you all that was recently published in the New Yorker about that Saudi student who was questioned as a suspect: http://www.newyorker.com/online/blogs/c…

After reading the reports that there was a Saudi national who was a person of interest after the bombings, I wanted to write a rant post about racial profiling and how unfair it was that this student was just trying to run away from the scene like everyone else. I decided not to just in the small event that this individual was somehow actually connected to the crime.

Of course I understand the desire to point fingers, to find someone to blame, for this horrific tragedy, but this racial profiling makes my blood boil. I hope that groupthink is a safe space to share this and we are far away enough from any pro-racial profiling trolls out there.
