I don't know who's idea it was to let my aunt drive a cooked turkey an hour and a half to my mom's house, but I may disown them. When Mom asked when she took it out of the fridge, my aunt said that she turned the oven off at 3:30am. No refrigeration mentioned. My dad cut it up to stick it in the oven and the legs didn't look cooked through.
What do you think the odds are of all of us getting food poisoning?
And, evidently my aunt asked a lot of questions about whay we are allergic to, so I can't get out of eating it completely. I will probably just push it around on the plate a lot. I think the only safe things for me to eat are the canned corn, mashed potatoes and the Bailey's chocolate pecan pies I made this morning.
Oh and my mom started gravy and the giblets are raw in the middle, too.
ETA. I handed my phone to my brother when he got here (so he could read this without me trying to explain out loud) and he thanked me. We both avoided the turkey.
