So I’m thinking about buying a cast iron dutch oven, specifically this one that doubles as a cast iron skillet. The thing is I’m not really sure what the plusses are? Like I know people like dutch ovens, and cast iron skillets, but what do I cook? How is it better than just cooking on the stove, or using a slow cooker? For people who have one, and are in love with it, what are your favorite recipes to make in one? Also since we’re dealing with cast iron what are tips for keeping it tippy tops (it says its preseasoned)? What additional items did you find yourself purchasing to use it?
