Trigger Warning: Snake

Ph.Mom was the first to notice it, and Ph.Gramma was really freaking out about it. Eventually, he settled into the basket in front of the fireplace and we got him into a plastic tub, which we covered and put outside. I hope he has enough air; I like snakes. Just not in my living room unexpectedly.

Funny thing about snake home invasions: apparently, the cops around here aren't trained to deal with them, animal control won't go into your house (and the city offices were closed anyway) Terminix doesn't deal with anything bigger than a rat, and professional snake-removers charge like 400 bucks. So I'll be taking the snake to a nearby open field in the morning, and hopefully the boys will have their toy instruments (that's what was in the basket that now also contains one snake) back to play with.
