Did you guys see this? Not for the whole state, just for 6,000 particular workers. But it did pass a ballot measure. Barely.

I'm all for a higher minimum wage, but I'm not sure where I stand on $15. It's not that I don't think minimum wage SHOULD be that high (it should), but jumping from where we are to that could potentially cause businesses to make catastrophically bad decisions that submarine them, in turn giving people who are against the minimum wage an opportunity to claim raising the minimum doesn't work. Personally I'd prefer a graded raise, tying it to inflation and raising it by around a dollar every 6 months until we hit that $15 mark. Still, it has to be viewed as a good thing that this actually passed with voters.
