These are your comfort food of movies. The movies that lull you to sleep. The ones that make you feel better after a bad day at work. There's nothing socially redeeming about these movies. They just make you feel warm and familiar, like a chocolate molten cake.

Which brings me to "It's Complicated." Is it the constant stream of food throughout the movie? Is it the Nancy Meyer kitchen porn? Is it the rare moment of seeing middle-aged men paired with middle aged women? I don't know.

Also nominated, Dirty Dancing. I can't help it. It was the first sexy movie I saw, and Patrick Swayze, my lord. The hips. The hair. And then I saw this deleted scene.

Then there are the standards: When Harry Met Sally, Sleepless in Seattle and Eat, Pray, Love. I really kind of hate EPL and yet, I get caught up every f'in time.
