Since Clinton’s devastating loss, a lot of us have been asking, “What can I do?”
Here’s something: #AuditTheVote
IF you feel that anything about the election was unjust or needs to be revisited, CALL YOUR REPRESENTATIVES* and ask them to get on board with auditing the vote. And, to make this really-super-incredibly-ridiculously-easy, text your zip code to 520.200.2223 and you will immediately receive a list of your representatives names and direct phone numbers. These calls will take you one minute, tops. (Unless you’re in the mood to tangent at an unsuspecting staffer, in which case the call may go a bit longer.)
Also, your issue doesn’t have to be ‘auditing the vote’— call your reps about whatever is bugging you post-election. That’s what they’re there for! We hired our reps and they work for us; let them be your voice now.
*In case you don’t know what to say, here’s a generic script from Call to Action:
“Hi, my name is [your name] and I’m a constituent from [your town/city]. I’m calling because [express your opinion on an issue here]. Please tell [rep name] to [support/oppose/speak out against] [your issue]. Thank you for your time.”
