This week was one of the worst I ever had. Lost my job (hated them so whatever) and my apartment was burglarized. It sucked. However, I've been able to get through it because I've been working very hard on my emotional health and wellness by doing EFT for almost two years now. For those who don't know, EFT is also called "Tapping" and it's done by talking about your feelings while tapping on meridian points. It's the only kind of therapy that's ever worked for me. It's also not traditional or conventional, and though it is recognized by the APA as a therapeutic modality, it's years away from the mainstream. I also do Reiki, meditate, like wearing crystals occasionally and have some pretty long conversations with spirit guides. I'm also pretty virulently anti new-age culture, because vocal new agers bug the crap out of me.

So what do you do that helps you live a happier life that's outside the mainstream? Or not - yoga, exercise, binge watching Dr. Who...whatever. I'd love to hear about other people's experience.

P.S. This is a no judgment zone. This is not the place to debate the validity of anyone's experiences or the value of something that helps people feel better. This is not the place to yell "BUT SCIENCE."
