Post lavish descriptions of your Thanksgiving gluttony!

I decided to do a whole traditional meal, even though it’s just me, because I love Thanksgiving, and why not? I went pretty heavily premade, but it will still be delicious! I am having:

Pumpkin cranberry crisps with apple cinnamon goat cheese

Turkey breast roasted with apples, onions and sage

Sage stuffing (from a mix) with dried cranberries

Yams (canned) mashed with orange juice and lots of ginger and topped with toasted marshmallows

Mashed potatoes made with ridiculous amounts of butter and heavy cream, my arteries be damned

Canned cranberry sauce

Lime cream cheese pear “salad” (grossly unhealthy and ridiculously midwestern but oh, so delicious)

Brown-and-serve rolls

Lots and lots of gravy (turkey breasts don’t yield enough drippings, so I bought some from Mimi’s Cafe — not as good as homemade, but still pretty damned good)

Edward’s pumpkin cream pie (not traditional at all, but Lifehacker did a post about the best frozen pumpkin pies and that was the one I could find. Hopefully it’ll be good!)

Chateau Ste. Michele Riesling (one of my favorites — very light and dry and barely sweet) and lots of hard cider

I WILL HAVE SO MANY LEFTOVERS AND I AM SO EXCITED ABOUT IT.

I made the “salad” last night, so I just have to get the turkey in at about noon, then make the potatoes and yams and chop and sautée the vegetables for the stuffing. But first I am going to get a ridiculous holiday drink from Starbucks and take the dogs to the park.
