When I know I’m about to get snowed in for a few days, I have a craving for fresh fruit, especially if it’s citrusy. I stock up on oranges and lemons and anything that looks good in the store. I joke with Mr. Cunning that it’s so I can fend off scurvy, but I think it’s more that my body craves something that tastes like sunshine, and that’s what oranges taste like (don’t argue with me, they DO).

Also, I now get snacks for the kids. We never keep snacks in the house, but if it snows, I know they’ll suddenly go from kids that are perfectly going without cookies to animals desperate to lay their hands upon food to sustain themselves.

So, what do you get aside from the usual eggs, milk, and bread?
