Alright y’all, I seriously need to step up my skincare routine.
Here’s my current routine:
In the morning, I cleanse with some Burt’s Bees or Cetaphil cleanser, whichever I see first, and moisturize with Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion. At night I use the oil cleansing method and moisturize with more Clinique stuff and dab some Shisheido eye cream around my eyes. A lot of the time I skip washing either in the morning or at night because I am lazy/depressed. About once a week I use REN Glycol Lactic Radiance Renewal Mask, followed by a generic drugstore clay mask, followed by a Biore strip on my nose, followed by moisturizer.
I LOVE the oil cleansing method, it feels super soothing and my face looks great after I do it. Kind of...perky? Perkier than usual at least. I’m also pretty satisfied with my weekly mask on mask on Biore strip routine, it makes my face feel so smooth and it sucks the blackheads out.
TW: skin/body image issues
Alright, these are my issues: I am only 27 and yet I have tons of crinkly wrinkles around my eyes that make me look incredibly tired. My skin seems to be just hanging off my face, especially when I am tired or dehydrated. I have a little bit of acne that would probably mostly go away if I washed my face more. My skin color is very uneven, due to sun damage and/or picking at scabs. My skin looks so much better when I consistently stick to my routine, but even then, the tired, saggy look never seems to go away.
In the past, my skin has responded very well to a Vitamin C serum, so I think that is the first thing I’m going to add back in. I think I need to be moisturizing more but I’m not sure what to look for in a moisturizer. I’m also interested in doing more wrinkle and aging prevention, but I’m not sure where to start. Should I explore Retinol? I’m look at the retinol solution at Makeup Artist’s Choice and I would be interested to hear if anyone has any experience with it. As for the general sagginess of my skin...I don’t know. Maybe facial yoga. Please help.

I’m also interested if anyone knows any good skincare blogs/websites, like ones that are not totally dedicated to selling products. Would like more skincare information that’s not totally compromised.
